How Restocking Actually Works

We catch it before it's empty.

Our team monitors every machine's inventory in real time — not just when something's completely sold out, but when a single item is trending low. That's the target: eliminate out-of-stocks entirely, and treat a low-stock item as a priority for restocking and, when it's warranted, an extra delivery run rather than waiting for the next regularly scheduled visit. A machine running on fumes for two days before someone notices is exactly the failure mode this is built to prevent.

Who Shows Up

Owner-operators, not a route driver.

Right now, restocking is done by Vala and Brian personally — not a rotating route driver working through a list of accounts. That's deliberate. Every restock is also a chance to check in with property managers and employees, make sure everything's actually running smoothly, and hear directly what's working and what people wish was stocked instead. Product mixes get refreshed based on that feedback, not a generic planogram — because the people restocking your machine are the same people who'd have to answer for it if it wasn't right.

We also build a formal 30-day check-in into every installation — a sit-down with your property manager or site contact about a month in, to look at what's actually selling and adjust anything that's not working before it becomes a habit.

What We're Fixing

The usual vending complaints, handled on purpose.

"The machine sits empty for days before anyone restocks it."

Real-time inventory monitoring means we know an item is running low before it's gone — not after someone complains.

"Support is a call center that never actually resolves anything."

Every location gets a direct line to Sidecar support, with a same-day response — not a ticket number and a hold queue.

"We're locked into a long contract with a vendor we don't even like."

There's no minimum term on our service agreement — just 30 days' notice whenever you want a machine relocated or removed, full stop.

"A machine didn't dispense correctly, and now we're the ones smoothing it over with a customer."

That shouldn't be your problem to fix. If a customer is charged incorrectly, Sidecar makes it right — directly, not through you.

Retail Instincts, Applied To Vending

We know what it takes to earn repeat business.

Years in retail taught us that a fresh, relevant product mix and a clean, fully stocked presentation aren't details — they're the difference between a machine people use and one they walk past. We keep an eye on pricing too, checking it stays affordable and competitive rather than creeping up just because it can. None of that is complicated, but it's exactly the kind of thing a route-based vending operator tends to overlook — and it's the difference between a customer using a machine once and using it every day.

Our Promise

Three things we'll put in writing.

We monitor inventory continuously, and the moment an item is trending low, it's prioritized for restocking — not left for the next regularly scheduled visit.

Sidecar carries product liability insurance and is happy to provide a certificate of insurance for your records before you ever say yes — no chasing us down for paperwork after the fact.

No minimum term, ever. Our service agreement runs on 30 days' notice if you ever want a machine relocated or removed — full stop, no fine print.
